Our spray millet is harvested and packed by hand. All pet birds savor millet spray. Millet spray is useful for behavioral and trick training. It is also very low in stout, which makes it a useful addition to the diet of pet birds that refuse to eat other foods. Millet spray has other uses as well. Many birds greatly reduce their food intake when they become sick, offering millet spray may encourage them to eat. Millet spray, especially if soaked in warm water first, is an brilliant weaning food for immature parrots. The appeal of the treat, as both food and toy, encourages young birds to learn to eat independently. Entire millet sprays can also be sprouted, which increases their nutritional value.

This is another species of pine nuts we handle. These are an imported product of super quality. The shell is generally too hard for people to eat, but birds like them. This is a 10 lb bulk box and as a bonus, we will fill up the rest of the box with hickory nuts. We had no thought when we were harvesting the hickory nuts that the huge birds would like them. One of our clients said his huge birds were really into them, so why not share. Our hickory nuts are a wild harvest here in the Ozarks.
